I am an American photographer of Indian origin, based in Northern Virginia, USA. Growing up in Kolkata, India, I came to the USA on a job visa, back in 1998. I have been taking pictures since the 1980s. My initial inspiration comes from the Indian filmmaker Satyajit Ray. From his films, I've learned the fundamentals of photography, cinematography, storytelling, composition, lighting, and many other essential techniques.
