PICTORIAL STORY: A Day at the Races
British photographer Peter Bartlett spent much of 2019 visiting horse race meetings in the north of England to capture a fly on the wall documentary of attendees enjoying a day out. Studying the odds, enjoying a drink, having a laugh, and soaking up the drama, his candid photos showcase the frivolity of pre-pandemic race days that we may unlikely witness again in the foreseeable future.
We publish Pictorial Stories that present thematic work of visual storytellers from around the world.
INTERVIEW WITH Danielle L. Goldstein:
New York City based street photographer Danielle L. Goldstein, began photographing out her eighth floor window when quarantine lockdown due to Covid-19 began in New York in March. The project became unexpectedly poignant as she observed her fellow New Yorkers navigating their way through the concurrent crises of the pandemic and the BLM movement, just as she was. For her, it was heartening to see how people around her, still found ways to connect with one another, even during isolation.
New interviews are published every week, presenting the work of photographers from around the world, offering an insight into their photographic journey to inspire us all.
